As if he had nothing better to do, Donald Trump has now released his personal ranking of American Presidents, in 6 categories, from “greatest” to “failures.” As objective as he is modest, after great study and research, Mr Trump placed himself alone in the “greatest” column, leaving fans of Washington, Lincoln and FDR to eat their hearts out because their boy lost out in a fair race to the top.
These results are only slightly different from those of the Presidential Greatness Project, led by two academics at the University of Houston and Coastal Carolina College, two of the best-known hotbeds of one-sided liberal politics. 154 of the most esteemed presidential scholars were polled for their opinions of all 45 US Presidents, and their assessment was consistent with Trump’s in one important aspect: On average they also placed Mr. Trump at the absolute extreme of the distribution–although it should be noted parenthetically that he was at the absolute bottom rather than the top. Oh, and to be totally fair to the Great One, he did rate highly, in fact at the very top of the list, on one characteristic, coming out numero uno by a large margin for the most polarizing President.
However easy it is to mock this great statesmen, we must be fair and admit that he has certain credentials that no other President has.
While Bill Clinton and Andrew Johnson have had the honor of being impeached, no other mortal can lay claim to having been impeached twice.
No other president has ever been convicted on felony charges. Not simply a mark of distinction in itself, Mr. Trump was convicted on not on one or two counts, but on 34 counts, a record that will surely never be topped.
Has any other president built a border wall, or should we say a beautiful and highly effective border wall? And remember that not a cent did it cost Americans. It was paid for entirely, as we all know, in pesos.
And has any other President avoided foreign entanglements as much as the current one, beautified the capital, saved the environment, or solved a pandemic single-handedly?
Let’s face it–it’s not even close: HAIL TO THE THIEF!
