After the deluge.
All Trump could talk about were his construction/beautification projects. Charitably, one could say that this is the only positive topic he has to focus on. Less charitably, and more honestly, it seems like the old man has finally lost it. The leader of the free world who came out a loser in virtually every Senate race that took place a day ago, is proudly picking out curtains and wondering about shades of gold paint needed to make his ballroom appropriately gaudy.
But forget about that sad old man. Instead, let’s focus on what is being said, quietly, that we’re haven’t yet heard out loud:
- Melania: I was going to dump the bastard as soon as he left office, but you know, why not now!
- Pete Hegseth, to his agent: The Fox people did say that they’d take me back when I was done, didn’t they???
- Ted Cruz: Holy sh_t. I’m glad I wasn’t up for re-election this time around.
- Darline Graham: Lindsey loved politics. I hated it. How lucky can a gal get?
- Susan Collins, to her real estate agent: But Northern Maine is so cold. I’m not going back there. How about a nice property near Mar-a-Lago?
- JD Vance: Well, I thought I was going to have to kiss his ass to get endorsed, but now he’s the only person on earth who’s more unpopular than me.
- Vivek Ramaswamy: I don’t know. That ad seemed like a great idea to me. Ah well, I guess I’ll just crawl back in my hole.
- James Talerico: Run for President? You gotta be kidding—not me… Well, let me think about it.
- The Ayattolah: So what do we do now that we’ve won the war??
